The 5 renewable energies that will change the energy paradigm

Self-consumption Climate change 再生能源 1

In a society that is increasingly aware of the need to care for the environment and the value of sustainability in order to move towards a greener world. Industries have opted for cleaner and less polluting energies in order to reduce the CO2 emissions that are emitted on earth. But, and the citizens, how can we contribute? You can start by changing your electricity company to a more sustainable one.

The energy sector is taking steps in the energy transition by replacing fossil fuels with more sustainable alternatives in order to face climate change. But what are they? What options exist?

These are the 5 renewable energies that exist:

Solar energy

The first thing that comes to mind when we talk about this energy is the Sun. Not only is it a star that allows us to survive, but it also provides us with one of the cleanest and most renewable energies there is: sunlight.

Solar panels are used to collect this energy. However, it can be difficult to store because if it is not used instantly, it is wasted.

If you want to know what the cheapest rates are, you can do it through an electricity comparator.

Biomass

This renewable energy consists of using organic matter, of plant or animal origin, as an energy source. To achieve this transformation, it is necessary to burn said organic matter which produces CO2, therefore, it is not a clean energy. Firewood, chips and pellets are some of the main fuels obtained from biomass.

Wind

Wind energy, one of the most sustainable energies, is one of the value bets for the future. Electricity is generated from the force of the wind. This manages to move the blades of the mill and thus produce the necessary energy.

Such energy has multiple benefits to help reduce the impact of climate change, such as being clean. Now, not all are advantages for the environment, there are also disadvantages, which we already discussed in "The impact of renewable energies"

Hydraulics

Just as we have seen that wind energy is generated from the force of the wind, hydraulic energy is that which is obtained by harnessing the kinetic energy of water currents. This, like wind power, can be converted into electricity.

Hydroelectric plants are responsible for damming river water in dams, it is released by moving the turbines and generating electricity.

Geothermal

We have seen that water and wind are two resources that are used to produce energy, but can it originate from heat? The answer lies in geothermal energy, which is obtained by harnessing the internal heat of the Earth.

Unlike the other renewable energies, this one is available all over the world. We don't need to wait for it to come to us, we can go look for it. In addition, it does not emit any CO2 emissions.

Conclution

We will never stop consuming energy because we need it to live. For this reason it is important that in the not too distant future renewable energies completely replace fossil fuels. An example that shows that both society and companies are moving towards a more sustainable world is the appearance of electric cars, which are increasingly common.
